Product Care

PRODUCT CARE

CARE FOR WHAT YOU CARRY.

Every piece in the VAEREN collection is selected with everyday use in mind. Proper care can help preserve its appearance, function, and feel through daily use.

Because materials, finishes, and construction vary by product, care requirements may differ. Use the guidance below as a general reference and always follow any product-specific instructions when provided.

LEATHER

Leather naturally responds to use, moisture, heat, and its environment. Depending on the type and finish, subtle changes in tone, texture, softness, and surface character may develop over time.

Everyday Care

  • Wipe away dust and surface dirt with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to water, excessive humidity, and direct heat.

  • If the leather becomes wet, gently blot away excess moisture and allow it to air-dry naturally at room temperature.

  • Do not use hair dryers, heaters, or other direct heat sources.

  • Avoid prolonged contact with oils, alcohol, perfume, hand sanitizer, cosmetics, and harsh cleaning products.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight.

Conditioning

If appropriate for the specific leather, apply a small amount of conditioner formulated for that leather type.

Always test any care product on a small, inconspicuous area first. Avoid excessive conditioning, as it may alter the leather's color, texture, or finish.

Natural Character

Depending on the leather and finish, creasing, softening, tonal changes, and other surface characteristics may gradually appear with use.

These changes can be a natural part of how leather ages and do not necessarily indicate a product defect.

METAL & ALUMINUM COMPONENTS

Metal components can gradually develop minor marks or changes in finish through regular contact with pockets, keys, coins, hard surfaces, and other everyday objects.

Everyday Care

  • Wipe surfaces with a clean, soft microfiber cloth.

  • Remove moisture promptly.

  • Avoid abrasive pads, metal polish, solvents, and aggressive household cleaners unless specifically recommended for the product.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater and corrosive substances.

  • Protect the product from unnecessary impacts, drops, and contact with sharp objects.

Surface Wear

Minor scratches, marks, and changes to the finish may occur through normal use, particularly on frequently handled or exposed surfaces.

Cosmetic wear does not necessarily affect the function of the product.

WALLETS & CARD HOLDERS

A better everyday carry starts with carrying only what you need.

Everyday Care

  • Avoid forcing excessive cards, cash, or other objects into compartments.

  • Keep the wallet within its intended capacity.

  • Remove unnecessary cards periodically to reduce prolonged stretching and pressure.

  • Keep away from prolonged moisture and excessive heat.

  • Clean the wallet according to its primary material using the appropriate guidance on this page.

Quick-Access & Moving Mechanisms

For products equipped with moving or quick-access mechanisms:

  • Keep the mechanism free from dirt, dust, and debris.

  • Avoid inserting foreign objects into moving components.

  • Operate the mechanism normally rather than forcing it.

  • If unusual resistance or movement develops, stop forceful use and contact VAEREN Customer Care.

BELTS

Regular care can help preserve the appearance, shape, strap, hardware, and fastening components of your belt.

Everyday Care

  • Wipe the strap and hardware with a clean, soft cloth when needed.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and excessive heat.

  • Avoid sharply folding, crushing, or unnecessarily creasing the strap.

  • Do not use harsh chemicals on buckles or fastening components.

  • If the belt becomes wet, allow it to air-dry naturally before storing.

Storage

Whenever possible, hang the belt or store it loosely rolled rather than tightly folded.

For leather belts, follow the leather-care guidance above. For other materials, follow any product-specific instructions provided.

BAGS

Bags encounter frequent contact with surfaces, clothing, weather, and the items carried inside them. Light, regular care is generally preferable to aggressive cleaning.

Everyday Care

  • Empty the bag before cleaning.

  • Remove loose dust and debris with a soft, dry cloth or soft brush.

  • For light surface marks, gently spot-clean with a damp cloth where appropriate for the material.

  • Avoid unnecessarily saturating the material with water.

  • Allow the bag to air-dry completely before use or storage.

  • Avoid bleach, aggressive cleaning agents, and harsh chemicals.

  • Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or iron unless the specific product instructions explicitly state that it is safe to do so.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to intense sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture.

Keep Its Shape

When not in use:

  • Store the bag in a cool, dry, ventilated environment.

  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.

  • Lightly fill the interior with clean, soft material if needed to help maintain its shape.

  • Avoid overpacking or carrying more than the product is intended to accommodate.

HARDWARE, ZIPPERS & MOVING PARTS

Small functional components often experience some of the most frequent interaction during everyday use.

To keep them operating properly:

  • Keep zippers, tracks, clasps, buckles, and moving mechanisms free from dirt and debris.

  • Operate moving components smoothly rather than forcing them.

  • Avoid unnecessary impacts or excessive pressure.

  • Do not apply household oils, lubricants, adhesives, or chemicals unless specifically recommended for the product.

  • If a component begins operating unusually, discontinue forceful use and contact VAEREN Customer Care.

WHAT TO AVOID

A few simple habits can help prevent unnecessary damage across most VAEREN products.

Excessive Water

Avoid soaking products or exposing them unnecessarily to prolonged moisture unless the specific product is explicitly stated to be suitable for such conditions.

Extreme Heat

Keep products away from heaters, dryers, hot surfaces, and other concentrated heat sources.

Harsh Chemicals

Avoid bleach, strong solvents, aggressive cleaning agents, and other chemicals that may alter materials, adhesives, coatings, or finishes.

Overloading

Using a product beyond its intended capacity may stretch materials, place unnecessary stress on seams or hardware, interfere with mechanisms, or affect its shape.

Improper Storage

Avoid prolonged compression, excessive humidity, extreme temperatures, and prolonged direct sunlight during storage.

EVERYDAY CARRY IS MEANT TO BE CARRIED.

The pieces we select are meant to become part of everyday life—not stay untouched on a shelf.

Depending on the material and how you carry it, small marks, subtle creases, changes in texture, and other signs of normal use may naturally develop over time.

Care for it when needed. Use it with intention. Let it become yours.

Carry with intention.
